I started personal training with Mel 3 times a week about 6 weeks ago and have already seen such a difference in not only my physical appearance but also my mental health.
Doing the sessions have played a massive part in keeping me motivated in my diet and my fitness journey. The zoom platform is perfect for me as I can keep training whilst I am at uni and at home with whatever equipment I have available.
I always feel exhausted after a session (in a good way) which makes me feel motivated and awake for the rest of the day. Mel has helped to completely change my lifestyle and I will never go back to my old ways!

Rider as my back was troubling me again.
I was experiencing referred pain down my right leg and up to my shoulder and neck as a result of a herniated disc.
Mel has been great. She has encouraged, listened but keeps challenging me to progress.
I feel supported and what’s more, I have a greater awareness of posture and how to use my muscles when doing any exercises and day to day challenges.
When I first got in touch with Mel I thought she might be able to help me find my fitness mojo, lose a couple of lbs and if it helped with my riding, great...... She has done so much more than that! I am now 16 lbs down, feeling stronger than ever and the difference my sessions have made to my riding are incredible (my instructor agrees).
With a personalised programme and a slow build up Mel has helped me exercise without knee pain, something I have suffered with for years.

I can’t recommend Mel enough as a Personal Trainer. Fun, effective sessions tailored to your needs will help sort out any issues you may have. My crocked shoulder and overall strength improved with specific remedial exercises and gym sessions.
I started going to Fitter Rider classes about 8 months ago and I also have a personal training session with Mel once a week from home. I can honestly say it has been one of the best decisions I have made in my life as not only have I achieved my weight loss goal, but my lower back pain due to a bulging disc has virtually disappeared and my riding has improved enormously as a result of my flexibility, balance, posture and core strength. My dressage trainer says that the difference is dramatic as it has enabled me to become a more effective and confident rider. The best thing is that it has now become totally addictive so I always look forward to going to the classes which are varied and so much fun. If you are thinking of joining a Fitter Rider class or even a personal training session because you want to improve your partnership with your horse, even if it is just once or twice a week like I do, you will be amazed at the results that can be achieved and Mel is so supportive and encouraging along the way.
I can't tell you how much you've improved my riding & how much you are helping me to train my body to contain my horse's power. I didn't realise until yesterday. Best thing I've done in ages! Can’t recommend Fitter Rider enough!
I love Mel's classes. I feel my riding has improved because I am straighter and stronger in my core, as well as feeling more flexible overall. There are exercises that I couldn't do AT ALL at first, and now I can do most of the harder options. Thanks so much Mel
Going to Fitter Rider really has made a difference to the way I ride, can’t recommend it enough!
Three months in doing this class (even with Xmas in the way) I really do feel so much fitter. I can now do a sit up, full planking and starting to do the harder options in the class, my balance has improved, I was really feeling stiff and old before but now much stronger, it’s really helped my riding and generally better about my body. Honestly, Mel is so lovely and positive the classes are fantastic everyone is really friendly and encouraging. The difference in my fitness and riding is really noticeable and I really enjoy going every week.

It's our last day of skiing today and I just wanted to say thank you so very much for all the work you did in preparing me for this holiday - you did an absolutely superb job. It has been some of the most challenging, steep, tricky and exciting skiing I've ever done, and the preparation has been fantastic to help me through it, both in terms of stamina and strength. There's been no area where I've felt lacking and I've hardly had stiff muscles at all after skiing.
We have been diligent in completing all the post stretches and warm up exercises, and even added a couple extra!

Mel is great working with a range of abilities in one session. Exercises are adapted with easier and harder versions. Would defo recommend.
These classes are fantastic you don’t need to be a budding fitness fanatic to be able to improve your whole being. Classes are tailored to suit your ability highly recommend there is a vast age range and we have such fun nobody feels awkward.
I had my first class tonight, great work out and such fun! will definitely be back next week!??

First met Mel at ROR south east camp 2019. What a fabulous instructor who is very friendly and engaging. Corrects you when you are doing an exercise incorrectly and makes the sessions very interesting. Just wish I was closer to join in on regular sessions ??
Great fun way to get fit. Suffer with stiffness and after just the one class I feel looser and it was the first night I didn’t wake up with bad leg cramps.
